Tibetan nun burns herself to death in China

A Tibetan nun has burned herself to death in southwestern China's Sichuan province.

It is the 11th time this year that an ethnic Tibetan has set themselves on fire in protest against Chinese policies.

But it is the first time such a protest has been staged outside of Tibet.

Al Jazeera's Melissa Chan reports.

@nirvana1nchains serfdoms were before the CCP "liberated" them. Of course Chinese rule is brutal but its the lesser of 2 evils. Tibet was a feudal state with the Duhlie Lama as the Emperor. Each monk had 10 serfs.

There are issues that are controversial, including the massacre of Tibetan monks and nuns. @eyu1858945 You talk about brainwash but if this is the first thing you can really think about instead of the death of a human being. You understand that this isn't the first time self immolations have happened in China in protest? not just by the Tibetan population. They dont have to burn themselves when police are already shooting them down and torturing them in prisons. Their intent is to make it their suffering noticeable to the world instead of hidden by the Chinese government.

@nirvana1nchains 16-18 year old monk don't own serfs thanks to the fucking communist china, so instead of living in a palace feeling all almighty they have to face the same hardship as everyone else...i guess if i used to live in a fucking palace with thousands of brainwash believers, now i have nothing?, i be fucking mad too, so mad i'll go fucking burn myself
