The last portion of the Duncan-Kell fight is not only badly staged, its also dull and uninteresting. So I decided to change it, in what I think makes better sense story-wise.

Do note, because of the odd framing, that its a work in progress.

  • I think most of this is needless work, but its pretty cool. Love the double shot of Connor at the end, though. Kudos on that, Al.

  • @lucread @lucread Thanks, Tom. Really nice that, coming from you.

  • Very good, the whole fight was really poorly done, a combo of The actor playing the villain, choreography, and bad editing by someone really ruined it. Which is a shame after the wonder fights we saw already in the film.

  • @Rogue9a So you think I improved it a bit?

  • @IamConnorMacLeod about as much as it could be improved, outside of scrapping the whole thing and reshooting it, which isn't likely to happen.

  • @Rogue9a I'll take that as a compliment. :-)

I assume you didn't the jump Duncan made in the film either, right?

  • @Rogue9a

That is a problem when one of the two actors can't swing a sword. The actor playing Kell was pathetic.

But quite honestly Lambert wasn't in Paul's league either

  • The ending was sweet!!! CONNOR BABY!!!!

  • Very Good!

  • I thought that was a line from the series? Oh, in that case, I'm sure you can find one that matches better.

As for the decap, well, I guess I've never really been keen on that concept, so I guess it works as well it's going to. My only suggestion is what I'd said earlier about maybe bookending it, starting with Duncan cutting at the head (not just swinging), do the montage, then repeat the cut at the end. That way it a bit clearly narratively what it's supposed to be. JMO.
