This is a Shaffer Shifter target being shot from approximately 25 yards with an AR15 using 5.56 ball ammo. This target is designed to train the shooter in sighting, tracking, trigger control, and hitting moving targets by continually changing speed and position, especially after each impact.

The target is available at http://www.evanstarget.com/prices.html

  • Thanks! That was being shot with a Colt HBAR II 16" barrel.

  • The shooting location is in the bottom of a ravine in well treed valley with no houses for hundreds of yards in any direction and none directly down range. The shooting position was from behind another large tree, though your comment on danger is noted. Ball was used in the making of the video, but frangible ammo is much preferred at this distance.

  • nice shooting man

  • wow damn good shooting

  • Nice shooting Brian!!! Those targets seem familiar... Cheers, Colby

  • Looks a bit dangerous. I'm into shooting steel too but don't have the brass to shoot at 25m with my AR. Also seems more likely to glance off edges of target and go spawling out into no man's land. I just hope there aren't any houses/people in no man's land. Good shooting though.
