This man is wrong!!!! CCM is not evil or from the devil, come on people really how can any song or type of music that praises and glorifies the Lord Him self be wrong or from the Devil? Do you really think the devil would lead you to anything that glorifys or teaches you of the Lords word? No he hates Jesus and God He would rather lead you to death metal or some other sinful music or sin, CCM starts with Christ and speaks through Christ to help others learn and grow through Christ.

No, CCM stays far away from God's word. Just show me one CCM song that actually uses God's word. If there's one, (maybe there is, I have not seen one yet) it's an exception to the rule.

@KingJamesBible , The WORST most absolute WORST part of this mans argument is trying to say that contemporary music is destroying teenagers ears. NEWS FLASH that is the LEVEL of SOUND WAVES aka VOLUME. That has nothing to do with the type of music, if you go put on gospel music and blast it as high as your speakers can take it. Then listen to it in a small metal room for weeks. You will have extreme eardrum damage. That has everything to do with sound waves. nothing to do with the type of music.

@GrammaBarb77 I think the point that Dr. Garlock is making is that, typically, the type of music that is played LOUD today is bad. Rock music, for example is not meant to be played softly. If you've ever been to a rock concert you would know that it's always (too) loud.

@KingJamesBible I highly suggest u remove this video from your lists. This mans stance is extremely opinionitive and in no way backed by the bible. Let me give you a demonstration. An orange. An orange is made up of a peel and 8 little "slices" in the middle. Now take an orange take 1 slice that 1 slice is christian music, the other is rap, another is country, another heavy metal. Now this man is only focusing on that 1 slice of christian music. And saying it is of satin.

Ok, heres the thing this man is saying that CCM is worldley and there for of satin. It's all this old mans opinion sure he tries to back it up by scripture. Satin would not have anything to do with any music or song that worships the Lord for he Hates God and anything to do with HIm. Satin would not want you to listen to anything that teaches HIs word or love, You can clearley see that even the peole in this church are offended by this mans claim. God Bless everyone.

@duckittben I am nor sure what the CEV bible is but as long as it speakes and teaches HIs true word and does not add or stray from it then it is good. I have heard of some very disturbing new bibles these days that I know are not true , believe it or not there is actualey a gay bible out there that changes and adapts His true word into a bible for gay and lesbian people to relate too, now these kind of bibles are sin and from satin I believe. @bizzleblue38 Finally someone who agrees with me! I admit I do not have a King James Bible, don't know why, just don't. When I quoted 1 Corinthians 12:3 I checked my NIV and then searched the reference for the King James Version. I believe that Satan hates the new translations because they make God's Word clearer and makes it harder for him to play his tricks on us. I also have a CEV, NLT, TNIV-Message Parallel. I get Bibles as they come. I can't afford to be picky over bibles.

I wonder hmmm... has this man ever heard a Christian song that was soo true soo deeep that he cried because of what Jesus has done for him? Because I have and it is through alot of Christian music that the Lord has worked through me and in me, I have listened to songs that will touch me soo deepley that i will get on my knees in tears and pray to Lord Jesus and thank Him for everything He has done for me!!! How then can that be satanic, or worldley? HOw can this be bad or wrong?

@duckittben I have a King James Bible and I also have a NIV I believe both are true and acurate for they both teach Gods word, the only Bibles you need to stay clear of are any Bible that add or take away any part of the true Bible. In other words if there are extra books or testaments that you know are not in the true Bible or if you notice that some bibles have completeley taken out important well known books or verses then these bibles are false!!!
