  • seems like it would be a lot easier to just get a heat lamp with an adjustable mount and just have it in the shop when your gluing the bracing, guess that guy just didn't think about that, he'd rather use a stereo amp lol with a heat lamp i could glue together a whole guitar on the coldest of days with no problem at all later on.

  • UHH ohhh i didn't make sure what glue my guitar was put together with, i better tear it apart and make sure they did it right!

  • @TheUltraworld That is why you're not a master luthier lol : P

  • paul reed smith is pretty nieve. hes probably miffed cuz he realizes he shoudlhv listened to these guys. like, the guys who make accoustics know a bit more about tone then a company that focusses most of thier energy on electrics. like the guy said some people will buy perfect woods and glue it all together with hide glue and then.... they'll use a bolt on neck. not that there is anything wrong with that. but, whats wrong with a neck through

  • @TheUltraworld

he was joking around. im sure he listens to it. like he said he probably does listen to his "80 dollar stereo". like, my family owns a bang and olufsen stereo system and we rarely listen to it of course this doesnt compare to his conrad johnson. we generally use our crappy little ghetto blaster. and on rare occasions or when we have family over.

  • Nobody buys Conrad Johnson just to heat guitar tops. If you beleive he doesn't totally rock out with his system you all are fantasizing. Period.

  • one weird eccentric dude.

  • Um, the power amp/wood heater is a *joke.*

But while we're glad you're relaxed and comfortable, TJ Thompson builds guitars that are works of genius.

And you're posting on YouTube, criticizing him instead of learning from him.

  • A $16,000 hotplate? This is OCD hell. When I build guitars, I'm relaxed & comfortable. I'm not staying up at night worrying about glue.
