alright everybody to wire a dvc 4ohms to a final impedence of 2 ohms you have to first conncect both positive terminals and then both negative terminals then you are going to run a separate wire to one of the positive coils and another wire to a negative coil. dont connect the positive and negative to the same coil it has to be one of each.
to wire the dvc 4ohms sub to an impedence of 8ohms you have to connect one positive to one negative, again not of the same voice coil and then your left with a positive and a negative and those are your positive and negative that go to ur amp

  • That first wiring will turn that sub into a transformer, just download the manual if you lost it... don't circle the sub with wires. The furthest point of connection with have fluctuations in voltage. That will be feeding bad +/- to the far coils...

  • @Aint1S Evidently you know nothing in regards to how to wire subwoofers. The two different wiring schemes portrayed in the video are absolutely correct. You may want to consult your manual on how to wire your subwoofers if you believe this is not a correct way to wire them. :)

  • What guage is that blue wire you used for the voice coils

  • @skeeno2x 12 gauge.

  • ty i was kinda fucked when i realized it had 4 :S

  • @el40degto Oh I'm sorry... I guess you calculated V+~- on your first wiring & then watched what your amp signal is doing while you track the over voltage coming from the voice coils. I'm an electrical engineer & retired Navy electronics tech. Do not taunt me... does your momma have an oscilloscope you can borrow? I very much doubt it. So, in your own words... what is taking place in regards to your first wiring & in respect to the voice coils.

  • @cadz228 dont listento the el40degto idiot. do u want to power your subs at exactly 250, a lil under or a lil over? if u want it right on, than find one that pushes 250w at 2 ohms. a lil over than find one that pushes 250w at 4 ohms but is still '2 ohm stable' That is VERY important, and it will give you slightly more power. a little under than find one that pushes 250w at 2 ohms, but wire your subs in series, not parralel! if you have any more questions/need diagrams message me!

  • @TwoFootedMan more ohms less power from amp, less ohms more power from amp

  • What happens if I run it NEG to NEG and POS to POS, but run them to the amp from the same voice coil? What's the differenced if the voice coils are ran in parallel anyway?
