Go to the dollar store and buy a can of sardines, a can of beans, a pack of almonds, and a jar of unsweetened apple sauce for $4 and you'll have leftovers, and that's true almost three years after this video was first posted.
Good ideas. But can food is not good at all, it has sodium and preservatives. You can buy a small slow cooker and put bean and water and let it cook overnight. Then in the morning put some salt. Then you can eat healthy.
here here. four bucks is a lot to pay for dinner if youre cooking at home. buying fresh fruit and vegetables really is just too expensive for most people. i recommend getting some jars, and investing some time in learning to pickle and can foods yourself. buy raw beans, not canned, its healthier and MUCH cheaper. its way easier than you think to cook them. a diet of beans and rice will do just fine. just try to get some variety of beans. and hit up farmers markets, they often have bulk deals.
4 dollars? are you kidding? Yes you can easily eat for 4 dollars but not what she was showing red bell peppers @ 1.00 to 1.50 each. fruit and veggies cost are a little high for 4 bucks but if she is saying 4.00 per person then sure but in my family that would be 20 dollars.

Fuck off w/ your protein sources. Americans get way more protein then they need. And cholesterol - and saturated animal fat. USA TODAY is propaganda.
