It has been determined , that where a sex offender lives has no bearing on reoffending, Plus, the registry puts all on it on Predatory status, and I feel if these guys are girls are THAT dangerous, they shouldnt be out of prison. Itd be like letting out a Serial Murderer, or Robber, and then just notifying the public. How does that make us safer? Truth be told, nothing can be done until they break the law, and the deed is done.

@volcomchic23 I agree, The Federal Goverment has Blackmailed states who dont even want the registry to participate or risk loosing Government funding. But heres another catch, From what I hear , it would use up all the Federal Funding to Enforce the laws , even if they did, so , they usualy make people register who wouldnt have been made to register prior to 2008, to get the funding, then, they dont follow up on the offenders, who they feel arent a danger, yet the offenders cant get jobs!

Teens are young adults, and the most under represented group in the world.
I will be adding a page to my site, which will feature amazing teens.

@leelahutt1 Even people who get busted for drug offenses are the most likely to committ the same drug offense again too. Also with people who get arrested for DUI's . Robberies, domestic violence etc etc. Also alot of crimes don't all get reported to police because fear of retaliation to that individual is so high. I don't think all sex offenders should be treated the same. There are differences in each sex crime.

@volcomchic23 well, The government has presented it in a way that makes people feel the way they do. The whole thing was created out of Hysterics. And any phsyc book would tell you that people can NEVER make Rational Decisions while in Hysterics! Emotions get in the way of Reasoning! Meagans Law was Vengeance,! ! An angry mother who just wanted to make SOMEONE PAY! I understand her pain, but, if she had known, how would that help? AND Criminal Convictions were PUBLIC RECORD even then!

@panderingvictim what gets me is that people seems to think that Sex crimes are the ONLY crimes, and many of those that scream , "KILL SEX OFFENDERS" seems to be the one that teach their kids that women are Hoes, and teach them to yell profanities out car windows, and other bad behaviors, but seem SO concerned when they think somone is kissin their kid. and last time i checked, Murder was a more serious crime than sex offending! Go figure! Point made!

@panderingvictim Yes, and how are women who cant even remember where they parked their car at the mall going to remember 500 faces ,names ,tatoos and car makes on a registry?

@OfficialSOIssues I agree, and people lobbied for the registry. I believe Petitions for laws are like Signing Blank Checks. you dont know what freedoms its gonna cost us! The registry is not being used for what it was originally intended for.

@101johngalt I agree, but it happens, but, some states are making romeo and juliet scenerios exempt from the registry! ive heard of people mooning people being put on registries!

@leelahutt1 The point is. not all Sex offenders are Rapist or Pedophiles. And the one whos most likely to rape ur child is living in your house. thats what statistics show, yet people find it easier to look at others as more dangerous to themselves! Jessica Lunsfords brother was convicted of being with a 15 year old, YET, his father didnt want him on the registry. The proscecutor told him that she wasnt going to make his son an exception to a law that HE himself advocated! Serves him right!
People please educate yourselves. It is true not all people on the sex offender registry are dangerous predators. We have blown this way out of proportion because these laws make everyone feel good. Mostly the police, prosecutors, and lawyers. It is all about money-and power. It has done nothing but cause heartache and sadness to most of the people on the registry. Because truth be told the majority of them shouldn't be on the list.

If you posted 'hang em' or 'shoot em', or some derivative of that, then you have fallen prey to mad cow hysteria.
The truth, is that today, most 'sex offenders' are neither a pedophile, a rapist, or even dangerous. Yea, that was true 10 years ago, but today it has become fashionable to just label everyone 'sex offender'. You don't even have to have a victim any more.
If you want to make public safer, get off the people who are not a threat.
