Ads arent that bad if i dont have to pay for youtube because of them but if those shitty things start to buffer and take more time loading than the actual vid i get pissed off :)

Technically, you don't have to watch ads, there are a hundred and one ways to avoid them.
Second, without Youtube being bought we wouldn't have it anymore.
Third, I dislike it that the time progress display is also a spoiler :D

@THETRUEDOZAH Well when you find a way for society to easily and peacefully transition back to a barter system where ads and currency are meaningless you let us know. Until then stop complaining.

@sparkyk24 Actually the ads go to HD, who works really hard to make these videos for you to watch. Only Youtube sponsors have ads on their videos and in turn they get paid to put free videos up.

@booshi Really? The video ads didn't exist when youtube was purchased for a sizable sum, or for a long time after that when youtube continued to produce outrageous profits. There are other ads (such as the one in the upper right) to sustain youtube without making us watch one before each video.

Youtube has its own ads, I'd assume people are complaining about pre-roll ads that HD puts on some videos. Pre-roll ads are annoying as all hell, but HD can do what he wants with his content... it doesn't count as forcing someone to watch it. At least there are people on the Internet who will broadcast for free, no such thing in TV-land. But it's hard to make them do it. :-)
