Reason why its so like Wing Commander? Because its made by the same team. After Origin folded and got devoured by EA ( AKA The Evil Empire of gaming ), Chris and Erin Roberts, creators of the Wing Commander series, left to found their own company, Digital Anvil. Their first job was doing the CGI for the Wing Commander movie, which was a terrible movie, but not their fault, seeing as it was taken out of their hands long before then. This was their first game and unfortunately on of only two.

thanks for info ea IS evil they seem to destroy everything the come along with or they make a game make you pay full price and the game is like 1/4 done just so they can sell you the expansion that makes it closer to what it should be 3 months later and after all is said and done with the expanisons you pay about 240 bucks for 50 dollar game i hate them so. and i hate that they bought the nfl so 2k sports couldn't make another football game 2k5nfl was the best 2k8 was pretty good

i got this game for 5$ at a computer store for the PC i had no clue it was for the dreamcast... i lost it and thaks to this im probably gonna find it also if i was a wing commander fan i would probably rag on the opining statement but im not so im not gonna bitch

Loved this on the Dreamcast......shame an updated version it never came to Xbox 360

starlancer is the best game ever!! Me and my cousin play online pc together in our own server, unfortunately we couldnt connect from another network to network, we only played from the same network
