Part two (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QjhVRyRs3s part one)

Please support the Dawson family and preserve this open space for future generations to enjoy as a nature reserve.

A slide show showing the drastic changes to the land made by Denbighshire County Council was shown at the meeting and residents were appalled not only for the Dawson family but also for the destruction of wildlife habitats on the Nature Reserve. The county have promised to replant thousands of bushes, trees, and windflower seeds.

The treatment the Dawson family have received from Denbighshire County Council is beyond belief, their health has been put at risk, their home will be devalued, absolutely no customer care and a lack of communication and clarification from all departments in Denbighshire County Council.
Mr Dawson expressed his thanks for the ongoing support his family have received from the community.

Many residents have complained already to Denbighshire County Council expressing their objection to a Holding Depot and fully support the family.

Denbighshire County Council are acting contrary to the National Policy and totally out of step with the currant Unitary Development Plan which stands until 2011, if Denbighshire County Council get away with modifying policy it will set a precedence. The Holding Depot land was originally included in the Nature Reserve and should not be reneged on.

Denbighshire County Council has assured the public that the damage to the Nature reserve has been intensive but will recover and improve. The Rhuddlan Environment Group has fought hard to secure this area as a nature reserve and is happy the development is under way. The group are donating £4K towards windflower seeds and plants and look forward to the future of the reserve but will continue to support the campaign to retain all the land as a nature reserve and by doing this we also be supporting this family. Denbighshire county council have wasted no time in going ahead with the holding depot and have already started work. We need your support now to stop this development going forward. The nature reserve should be allowed to go ahead in it's original format with all the land as agreed and no DCC recycling centre for highway materials. Please send support letters to the county council & the local town council. The nature reserve is for all. Make our area enjoyable for tourists.
