Baby Found Dead In Trash Can In Waterford, California - Modesto News

Last night a newborn infant was found dead in a trash can at the Bait Barn Mini-Mart in Waterford, California. Modesto News .org went to the scene to bring you this footage and to tell you what happened.

Just after 9:00 p.m. a man collecting recyclables found an infant wrapped in a blanket in a small trash can next to the store's fuel pumps. He alerted the store clerk who called 911.

When rescue crews arrived at the scene they found that the baby was already dead.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department is investigating this crime and at this point in the investigation they say they are working with limited information.
