  • yay, I'm Canadian, I'm drunk, I'm high and right now I have a plate of roast beef, baked potato, broiled asparagus and a cup of chicken corn soup in front of me. Once again, yay :).

  • Take the fucking marbles out of your fucking mouth so we can understand your fucking gaggle!!!!!

  • Marco Pierre White: Steele Fingers

  • @Arnatuile11

In his autobiography Devil in the Kitchen.

  • @angryasian101 that's something i never knew about his family, where did you find that out i'd be interested to read it

  • @Arnatuile11

Even in the context of talking about his father, both his father/grandfather were chefs focusing on haute cuisine from Escoffier's era. So it's not farfetched to assume words like "gras" were thrown around back when he was little.

  • @angryasian101 it's the context in which he used the word, he's not talking about haute cuisine here he's talking about what his dad used to do back in the day, but you know what it doesn't matter, the guy is undoubtedly the best chef Britain has ever produced he can say whatever he wants

  • @Arnatuile11

How is he posing when he's a retired chef who trained in French style cuisine and is the Godfather of modern cuisine? A lot of terms/techniques are established in French (i.e. mise en place, julienne, veloute, etc). So what's wrong with him using the term "gras"? Are you saying anyone who calls duck/goose liver foie gras pretentious?

  • @etwuk1 Ahahaaa!! Thats funny!

  • @mikedelpiero9 never said he wasn't a true cook, he just looks very pretentious when he pretends he can speak French - that's the poser bit, I mean can you tell me what the point of saying 'the gras' was? Especially when he's talking about his childhood.
