Fox News' 1984 style spin on health care reform

This collection of video clips is a quite powerful indictment of Fox News' use of Orwellian techniques to kill the Democrat's health care plan. Fox News' "fair and balanced" lie is supplemented with a "Prescription for Truth" segment on Fox & Friends that in practice strongly resembles the "Ignorance is Strength" sign outside 1984's Ministry of Truth. Fox & Friends regular spinmeister Peter Johnson Jr. tells endless lies (many of omission) to scare the heck out of Fox News' conservative audience.

I am intrigued by the title to this video. Do you think in the world of 1984 that the gov't controlled healthcare or did Smith purchase it in the free market but was simply controlled in every other way?

I'm not loyal to a political party. I'm no supporter of the current health care bill either though I support unversal health care as a principle.

I'd be glad to give you the "liberty" of choosing under 1 condition. If you choose NO insurance then you get NO health care. Hospitals REFUSE you admittance unless you can pay FULL in cash. Otherwise, your "freedom" is nothing more than you being a FREELOADER and raising MY premiums because, unlike you, I choose to be responsible.
