  • Immoral, but better than a Republican President. I have a strong feeling that the *major* advances in getting full gay marriage rights will be in the courts, the same way Loving vs. Virginia was for interracial marriage and Brown vs. Board of Education was for racial segregation.

  • "Moderate stance" is basically an immoral stance. But you are right, Kusinich and Gravel are unelectable (unfortunately).

  • So, this moderate stance is good for getting swing votes, which is critical in the fight for LGBT rights.

  • A good percentage of Americans DO NOT support full marriage rights. This battle will be decided in the courts, the same way the black civil rights movement was. The next President will appoint TWO judges to the Supreme Court, so it is CRITICAL that a Democrat wins.

  • Swing votes. If a miracle happened and Kucinch or Gravel ended up being the Democratic candidate, the Republicans would win the presidency b/c of swing votes.

  • This is for anyone who says that the Democratic candidates are disappointing when it comes to LGBT rights. NOBODY can become President without picking up swing votes. Swing votes are the people who are too liberal to be Republican, but too conservative to be Democrat. A moderate stance is CRITICAL for winning the Presidency.

  • Kucinich and Gravel are the only ones who really care about real equality allowing gay marriage. Notice how the stupid media left out their names in this segment.

  • THANK YOU HRC & LOGO. What a great FORUM and we in San Diego watched with pride. E! {espen}

  • It was the first time major presidential candidates attended such a forum. Homophobes are so stupid - they don't understand that the future is on our side.

  • I watched the debate and felt that Kusinich and Gravel were the most supportive of equal rights for gays, while the others were disappointing.
