The Speed By Spectre Streamliner, being built to run over 400mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats. In 2005, Amir Rosenbaum, founder of Spectre Performance, began his quest for speed by running a Ferrari F40 at the famed Bonneville Salt Flats. Although close to setting a record, the F40 was not the ideal car for this venue. Amir and the Ferrari have competed in several other venues prior to this, currently holding the record at the historic Virginia City Hillclimb in Nevada, but its a Bonneville record he really wants. With this in mind, Amir and Speed By Spectre have set out to build a Streamliner, or what they call their Speedliner. Currently in the construction phase at Performance Fabrication in San Carlos, California, the Speedliner will run in the BGS (Blown Gas Streamliner), Engine Class AA. With the goal of making this the first gasoline powered vehicle to run on the salt at over 400mph, Amir and Speed By Spectre have their sites set on a new world record in 2009. These vehicles are very high geared, needs a push to get to a speed where the horsepower can get it to move with that gearing.

A very ambitious goal you have chosen, but a great goal is always the first step to achieving a great result! ;o)
