Cell phone? Nope. Don't think there were even cell towers around then lol. However (assuming this craziness has any truth to it) it could be some sort of communicator to allow travelers to speak to their present time. All sounds a bit crazy to me. But who knows? Imagine what somone from 100 years ago would think of an iphone lol.

was there a satellite in orbit in the 1920's to allow the use of a cell phone, and by the size grip on the object, it was an older phone. so if he realy was traveling from any time, and it was possible to talk on a phone with no satellite, it seems like we would already know about it, based on the look of he "phone". if it is a phone, its certantly out dated, and dwould have happend a long time ago

Was satellite in orbit to make that phone useful? Could these satellites broadcast forward into the future so they could talk on the phone during their time travel? Ok lets go ahead and assume something that retarded for a sec. Why would they let this guy be onFAMOUS film using a phone? So we could be having this conversation now!
