The end of an era is at hand as one of the most prolific and iconic athletes in the sports world has decided its time to move on. Former MVP and All-Star Allen Iverson has a remarkable number of accomplishments and has cemented himself both as one of the premier players of this generation, as well as one of the greatest of all time. After over 10 seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers that had its share of ups and downs, "The Answer" has decided that he has done everything he can for the franchise.

  • ...haha from which angle? Iverson averaged more points assists steals ..was quicker ...actually won mvp....

  • iverson would never demand a trade did you all hear what he say he wanted to retire as a sixer no way he would leave philly he had tough times when sixers were losing and he didnt demand. reason he was traded cuz KING is a bad manager. he says he's happy as hell with the 12th pick in the draft lol

AI is still the greatest and will always be but i dont think the nuggets will go anywhere as long as carmelo is a go-to guy. AI should be the leader

"Takes the edge on speed/quickness, endurance"

It's not an edge. AI was easily the quickest player to ever play. The greatness of his crossover gets way overblown. Players simply couldnt stay in front of AI. Endurance is no contest, from minutes played per game to all the stories and accounts of AI taking a beating.

Francis was 6'3. AI was closer to 5'10. In his youth, AI pulled some simply implausible dunks. How can you argue this, they're all over youtube.

  • @Divinety3

well theres more to athleticism than JUST hops...AI had GREAT leaping ability as well, but franchise was more explosive and stronger. Still, AI takes the edge on speed/quickness, endurance, and body control...

  • @synapse913 Mate, I really hope your joking. I love AI but seriously, stevie had twice the hops. AI was better in almost all other areas but athleticism, francis had him easy.

  • @synapse913

you dont think its even close? idk, francis had some SICK ups and he could throw it down over anybody...pretty strong and fast too.

  • @TheAnswer71086

Francis was NOT more athletic than Iverson. It's not even close.

  • I miss those sixer jerseys now they're stupid red and white :(

  • yeah allen has alot going for it offiivly but he cant play d

  • a.i greatest little man ever only jordans better but not by much though
