Yes, use of twine was a huge help! I even bought a DVD/book, but it just made me feel dumb because I couldn't progress with the suggested size 5 crochet thread. I'm going to switch to twine to make it easier for me to both see the stitches, and to handle the thread. I believe this will work for a newbe like me! THANK YOU!!

I have tried and tried to tat with a shuttle to no avail although I can tat with a needle without any difficulty but now you have opened up so many more possibilities in my crafting obsession! Great job! Please add Cluny leaf tatting if you can!
I am so glad to see that you use your middle finger and thumb while tatting.because I also use my middle finger and thumb to tat.
