The Silencer - Independent Short Film

This is a short film that I got to participate in as part of a "48 Hour Challenge" for the Detroit Windsor Independent Film Festival 2008. The "challenge" consists of being given an idea for a movie, and 2 days to write, shoot and edit it. Much harder than it sounds, trust me.

Anyway, they desperately needed one more actor. They were so desperate, in fact, that they asked me. I had never even been in a school play, but I said "what the hell?". I found out quickly, however, just how difficult it could be. Feel free to tell me how much I sucked. That's what the internet is for, right?

I'll console myself with the fact that this little gem actually won the competition. Not because of my acting talent, of course, but because of all the hard work by a great group of people who contributed to the project.

I hope to do it again someday, if for no other reason than to kiss a beautiful girl on screen again. That poor actress had to kiss me for at least 5 or 6 takes. I'm pretty sure she fired her agent right afterwards.
