I think this is one of those situations of "if you need to ask you're not ready".

Do you skydive? If not you're crazy to be even thinking about BASE.

Start skydiving, focus on tracking and canopy control, try to get a balloon jump or several if you can.

After a few hundred skydives you should be reasonably capable (although by no means experienced) and at that point you can start thinking about getting someone to teach you to BASE jump.

Or, you can go out, buy a base rig and die

Watched this back in the days before youtube .Must have seen it a thousand times. When I first saw that jump at 2:25, I decided pretty much then and there that I just had to do this myself one day. Took a good few years but got I there in the end. Hope your rehab is coming on good.
