Band of Brothers is een tiendelige televisieserie uit 2001 over de laatste maanden van de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Het is een co-productie van Steven Spielberg en Tom Hanks, waarin de rol van de Easy Company van het 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, US 101st Airborne Division, in de oorlog wordt getoond. De serie begint met de training in Amerika voorafgaand aan de landing in Normandië en eindigt in het "Adelaarsnest" van Adolf Hitler, aan het einde van de oorlog. 'Band of Brothers' is gebaseerd op het gelijknamige boek van Stephen Ambrose.

It was executive produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks after their successful collaboration on the Academy Award-winning World War II film Saving Private Ryan (1998). The episodes first aired in 2001 on HBO and is still run frequently on various TV networks around the world.

@elboslayer Yes, it was not the fault of the soldiers in the Nazi regime for the atrocities carried out by Nazi´s in the second world war. Many had heard over and over again that things must be done for the ´good of the reich.´

And they were never even told of the worst horrors. And when they found out they were either powerless to stop it and perhaps even indoctrinated to believe it was right. The real evil men were the leaders of the Nazi Regime. They are the ones responsible.
