  • this engine runs very well for a lister d type. Mine (when it ran) misfires every three beats then fired. Even though the engine was getting a spark and the fuel lines were not blocked, it still stopped after about a minute.

  • Thank you for your comment

The D runs even better after I have restored it

see my other videos for the finished article

  • If you look at my other videos you will see this engine in various states of restoration .

It is now fully restored with the correct silencer and starts on the first turn of the handle

  • i reckon you could mix eggs with that. plural. what would it have been used on?

  • I am not sure about eggs But this engine was originally part of a generating set supplying electricity

  • i see what you was doing u are getting the engine up to speed then turning the fuel on

(''the handle wont bite ya '')if that thing back fires it wont be you that jumps off the ground it will be the engine mine did the same when the timming went out its no way near as bad as a 3hp lister b when that back fired i torn my ligaments and stuff in my hand

it was my fault though i set the timming to far behind t.d.c
