  • umm im not saying ur wrong but respectfully i think that looks like a pacu

  • @FishMan414 doesn't look anything like a pacu.

  • do you still have it? i had one for a few months and it passed away is was only about 4 inches. now i have cowardly red belly piranhas that run and smash there faces into the glass when i turn the light on.

  • @ThePiranha225 yup still have him, he is part of the family.

  • Ok I HAVE to ask... you used great stuff, fiberglass resin, and enamel paint but never had any issues with chemical reactions with the fish? How long did you let it off-gas before you filled the tank and put the fish in?

  • @zoneking never a problem with the fish, I've done a few more since as well. I let it off gas for a week. Then filled and drain a few time over another week, I used the convicts to cycle the tank after that. Other tanks I’ve sped up the process without any problems.

  • One little bit of help for all those "so called Pacu experts"... Look at the eye level to the mouth between the Pacu and a Black Piranha... The Pacus eye level is parallel or slightly lower than the mouth with both the upper n lower jaws equal.... The Black Piranhas eye level is above the mouth with the lower jaw protruding.

  • @philfx they MAINLY eat it. if it only it ate plants it would say so. thanks for coming out though :D

  • @mineiscooler I do actually.... 30 years of experience actually... heres a little quote from some literature.... "In the wild, Pacu fish eat mainly vegetation growing along the river banks that falls into the water. These includes nuts, fruits, stems and leaves, so it makes sense to offer your Pacu fish fresh vegetables like spinach and potato."

I rest my case... some idiots will argue black is white on here!!!

  • @philfx pacus do eat meat. obviously you have no clue.

  • Its not a Pacu its a Black Piranha... for a start Pacus don't eat meat... this fish is clearly eating meat. so obviously Fishman414 and SammieSea don't have a clue.

  • @FishMan414 Except from the size and color that is far of from a pacu, just look at that face.

  • @FishMan414 No you are correct, looks exactly like a Pacu...

  • @jetboatjon I used to have three until our tank burst. They ate anything you put in the tank (I only ever put in wieners, and chicken pieces other then regular food) Oddly enough they looked EXACTLY like this fish... same size, same colour, same EVERYTHING. But I must be blind or something <-(sarcasm). Not that I was looking for a fight... relax... its a fish.

  • @SammieSea Do some research; you obviously know nothing about what you are talking.

  • Lol He is definitely a Pacu :P
