  • Amazing, which one is on his leg? I was shown this by a friend at his office and had him forward it to me. He is an inspiration being over 80 years young and still able to do this. Way to go Ray, keep up the good work mate!

  • Ray flies the right and left kites from his respective hands, and the 3rd kite from his waist.

  • Janetlw: see the documentary 'Ray Bethell's Good stuff' - he's deaf, or very hard of hearing. The video was cut to the music afterwards.

Still amazing kite flying, though. Pure art.

  • I adore Ray Bethell. He is Kite flyings premier gentleman as well as Champion.

  • So much control...Sky Puppeteer

  • The song is "Flower Duet" from the opera, Lakme by Leo Delibes. Singers are Dame Judith Sutherland, Australian coloratura soprano, who died in October 2010; and Marilyn Horn, mezzo soprano from Pennsylvania. Truly one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. Perfect accompanyment for Ray's perfect flying!

  • he attaches two strings for one kite at his waist - then one kite in each hand (home made handles) this man is just prolific!

  • Mesmerizing and beautiful! What a wonderful video.

  • this gave me the tingles... gorgeous. thank you!
