They were hated by all nations, the love of many waxed cold, there were earthquakes, a star hung over the city like a sword; and a comet continued a whole year, at the ninth hour of the night, a great light shone about the altar and the temple, and this continued for half an hour, chariots and armies fighting in the clouds, and besieging cities, and the gospel was heard by all.

all those things predicted in Matthews came to their fullness within the time frame Christ said it would. The only way Christians would be put to death for their beliefs today would be such as in a war with another religion. In the first century the story is about Gods chosen people killing the followers of Christ. Thats what they were doing. Christ told them I send your prophets and teachers and you stone them and persecute them and kill them.

I just resently started doing research about Post Tribulation rapture....and I must say based on biblical scripture it is true. In all the years I've been a Christian I have heard the teaching made by many well known pastor speak about the Pre Tribulation rapture. For those uncertain go to Watchman's Cry website.

I'm not sure about Matt 24. Meaning, I'm not sure it's talking about the end times so much. It seems all those prophecies were fulfilled in 70 AD except of course the part of Jesus returning. In Revelation, the believers from the great tribulation were already in heaven. Just things I've noticed. They could happen again I guess, but I'm just not sure right now. Revelation seems to sound different than Matt 24.

I think Jesus is being pretty clear in Matthew 24.
He says (Matthew 24:14), "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."
Verse 3 has the disciples asking, "As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. 'Tell us,' they said, 'when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?'

If you have the chance to study ancient history and literarure, you 'll learn that terms like 'Whole world' 'all the earth' always refer to the mediterrean region, either greek or Roman Empire...it is a common rhetoric figure. The gospel was preached to the whole world in all the places, where jewish emmigrants had been living in the days of the apostles.
