@MusicLuv80 It's because the two viruses are incompatible - they destroy each other at the cellular level. Only someone who carries the Corvinus strain can be bitten by both and survive, because it allows for the cells to bond without destroying each other.

@MusicLuv80 I think Selene said that MOST humans die from a bite from either lycan or vampire.

@deletekeys i see, i understand it now. thank you. but one more thing.... first movie when selene spoke with michael in the car. she said if you get bitten by a warewolf, then michael said they also become warewolf? and selene said no they die because the virus is too strong. i guess it is right... because when lycan bits vampire they die and when vampire bits lycan they die... but how come when either of them bite humans they turn into lycan or a vampire???? but slene said it will kill them..

@MusicLuv80 only a strong vampire like victor or a strong lycan like lucien could survive the blood from michael mixed with both the viruses, if a weaker one tried he'd die just like any vampire would when a lycan bites them or vise versa

@deletekeys but what i don't get is this. i thought you have to be descendant of Marcus' father in order you to become a hybrid. for example... if 100 vampires and warewolves drink the blood of michael then they too can become hybrids????? I am still confused.

@deletekeys P.S. Lucien was not a descendant of the third son though, their blood allowed strong enough vampires and lycans to obtain the gene that allows hybrids to be born
