Hey everyone,

Not a piano video this time. I'm uploading this compilation just to share my other interests aside from piano. Something else I spend a lot of my time on is playing basketball, and training for it.

I've developed a completely new style of playing this year, and most of the time, I tend to be valued as a rebounder for the team. I've never taken any interest in rebounding before until now. But haha, rebounding has become almost an obsession or goal when I'm playing now, especially finding ways to sneak by or fight through for the offensive boards.

Anyway I started watching the Anime Slam Dunk again, just to watch all the games to get ALL of Sakuragi Hanamichi's rebounds to make a video.

I thought I'd do the same thing and collect all the decent rebounds in my recordings at the end of the school year, so here's a collection of most of my recorded rebounds from the fall2009 and spring2010 semesters. They're roughly sorted, with the better rebounds near the end of the video and simpler rebounds near the beginning. It would be sorted by degree of difficulty, so positioning, boxing out, jumping height; and sorted by the results of the rebound, so things like put-back or assist. One of the greatest joys of a rebounder is turning a miss into a productive second chance.

One of the many things I've learned so far in my recordings is that I don't jump nearly as high as my max on a rebound. This is obviously ok, but I should be able to and should aim to jump a lot higher on offensive rebounds. I jump like half my max height on fade-away shots...this definitely can improve. I should also learn to spring back more efficiently after an offensive rebound.

How tall r u and who r u in the vid?

I always took the misconseption of the sport of basketball players. Always thought you'd b good in basketball if u were tall. But I know now height doesn't matter. Just 2 say I'm about 5ft.tall and not 2 proud of it. Hey could be smaller!

@AznN00B oh no hahaha I actually practiced over two weeks of shooting 1000 shots a day, to improve my shot. It's much better now, but still not perfectly consistent. It's just that shooters are so generic or popular that it's not really worth making a video of it.

@chibikishi hahaha yea, most of these rebounds don't have legit boxouts. There are usually just a few people that really box me out during drop in basketball, and that's where the fun's at.

@calbee219 WOW to me thats not small but if ur usually smallest on the court than how tall are other players u play? with cuz I would love to be that tall but at 13 i guess im normal but hoping for a huge growth spurt. although for 5'7" and from how well the guys seem to be playing ur good,at least compared to me.........bye!:)

i think that you are making good job, many people are talking about shoots but many NBA players are not good shooters they are making best rebound recovery, i think that you are so nice reboud recover, a team is strategy and a team have many players with different skills i think that you are doing good job, soon or late you will improve your shoots
