MRTS - CHENNAI'S DREAM

A Journey on the Mass rapid Transit system in Chennai from Thiruvanmiyur to Mylapore... with a usual train song on the background..sorry i could not think of any other apt song here... and this is one of my favourite. About the video,(excuse the quality on a Nokia E65 Camera) sorry, it was a dream for every chennai resident to have this MRTS.. it has taken 15 years almost to complete this project.. yet not complete in totality... never mind we work on a tight budget unlike the developed countries...Now...Enjoy the ride..

Sorry to say this, I travelled on the MRTS and many of the stations on the route are so badly maintained that they cannot be used by normal public. Chintadripet Station for one stinks and inspires so little confidence that womenfolk will definitely hesitate to board the MRTS there. Many stations are not yet finished (Late 2009 status). Pathetic attention being paid to a line that has immense commuter potential.

Great..I was staying ard thuraipakam the whole dec last year.Everyday i use to see the thiruvanmiyur station.I miss chennai as i am back to my country singapore.Thanks for the video!!
