The "Cape Eagle" was a schooner converted to side-dragging for scallops that sailed out of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. This record of a 12 day fishing trip in April, 1962 was in my father's home movies. My father, Doug Brennan, went on the trip to collect scallop samples for a Department of Fisheries and Oceans project, and he wrote an interesting account of the voyage. Skipper, Roy Langille, was 31 years old at the time, the crew shucked scallops around the clock, 8 hours on and 4 hours off. Besides my general interest in fishing and the ocean, I used this piece to try out my new video editing program.
