  • @genoark777 Romans 8:26 mentions nothing of speaking in tongues, or praying in tongues. Read it again, and explain how this verse supports praying in tongues.

  • This is so mocking its almost irritating to listen. Tongues is real gift of God given to those who ask and seek Him in private time earnest in their desire to live God's will instead of living what you want to do serving God however you want to serve God. Romans 8:26 clearly tells us tongues is Holy Spirit language for our praying so that we can seek God in prayer more than just 5-10 mins or words. But receive God's purpose for our life. These people just didn't have experience with Holy Spirit

  • Before experinceing it myself. just last month I heard John Piper lamenting the "rise" of charismatic practises in the ranks of Calvinist bellievers and Matt Chandler responding that the cesstionist can't responsibly defend their position apologetically and with strong hermenuetics.

bigbadwolff1 as I have said I love these guys but will always call them or anyone on the anti-biblical and false teachings of cessationist.

  • Beggs and Sproul on numerous occasions have reverted to the experience or lack of it or sometime bad experience in their apologetics on spiritual gifts, I have even written to Sproul twice on this issue observing that he and some of his contemporaries while accusing those who hold to a continuist view of preaching their experience, they have done the same, a lack of or bad experience is still experience.

And Yes I have held to a contiuist view point of the charismata for over ten year.

  • @bigbadwolff1 No, I think you have got it all wrong buddy, my channel is actually just for that purpose to critically analyze so teaching, what you see on my channel is stuff I haven't watch and yes some of those persons are my friends but dont't make the miststake to think I agree with everything

Oh, btw I am not a WoF proponent either, but it would be careless of me to say all WoF teaching are heresy.

And yes I have listened to literally thousands of hours of their teachings and love them.

  • What is it about tongues that pastors are so afraid to just plainly speak out against? Why does Sproul keep talking about "bridging the gap", when scripture flat out says what tongues was, what its purpose was, who it was for, how it was to be done, and that it would cease all on its own? I just don't understand the kid gloves on this issue.

  • @klucharis Exactly. Zero biblical exposition, and they're all yucking it up like it's a joke. I'm beyond underwhelmed.

  • Really good stuff by 3 evangelical giants........... they do speak from experience and prior knowledge in the Bible and hence can be trusted

  • Wow! this is really bad, absolutely no theological exposition on the subject. All that is happening is a critical analysis of there expperience or lack there of............ Wow! and these guys are the giants in our evangelical movement, why wont they expound the scriptures theologicaly instead of there lack of experience.

  • Gotta love the white chairs!
