Great playing style. I can almost smell the wood of this beauty, how much do these go for?

Thanks for the input and gracious offer. I will consider it. I'm assuming you consider the HD28 to be a fine guitar?

If possible, can you please tell me what chords are utilized between 1:30 and 1:50? I love it.

@peterpulpitpounder Sorry, tutorials aren't our specialty here. Just not enough time in the day! We are always happy to answer any guitar or recording gear questions though, and please feel free to call or email!

Sounds great, but a bit too boomy on my speakers. I actually just bought the same guitar, and have been experimenting on how to minimize the rumble.

@peterpulpitpounder If you need help with the recording process, please let us know... these are ceratinly low-mid forward instruments, but there are a lot of ways between microphone choice, preamp choice, and microphone placement, that we can help you attain any particular sound that you are looking for. We can help with your recordings, please don't hesitate to shoot us an e-mail to audio@soundpure(dot)com. You may try listening through headphones to see if the issue is with the montiors.

I was just listening to your recording of a Santa Cruz Bluegrass Acoustic Guitar, and, to me, it sound much, much better, at least the recording. Not nearly as busy. Much clearer note articulaion, etc. I may need to take my new HD28 back to Guitar Center and get something else. I've got 30 days, so I'm not going to rush the matter.

@peterpulpitpounder With all due respect, you really can't expect a factory instrument like a Martin HD-28 to perform the way that a boutique instrument like a Santa Cruz would, in general, particularly when new. That being said, our recordings are not "scientific" meaning they are often demonstrated with different mics, preamps, and in different rooms. I am 100% certain we can help get you into a guitar that greatly exceeds your expectations (and the HD28) without a great deal more expense.
