You can't autotune live. It had also been raining that night, so the mic's were pretty messed up. As a musician in a band, this has happened to us also and it gives and echo-y delay like effect because the mic cuts out and cuts back in louder then before, and then quickly lowering back to original volume. I honestly think it makes a bad ass effect.

Okay you dumb fucks. :) What they did was. Tom sang normal in the performance, then for the DVD the editors went back and adjusted Tom vocals.

auto tune is when there is no gap between switching notes while singing like tpain. tom might have been pitch corrected for the dvd but I don't care, i just went to a concert and tom sounded amazing while i was there and i know that he didn't have pitch correction live. if you haven't been to an AvA show you can't talk shit cuz you have no idea how great it is, watching videos doesnt compare.

Not to be a troll, but I take Angels & Airwaves's music very seriously. This was put on their live DVD, and believe it or not, most artists "pitch correct" their voice so it sounds nice on the HD DVD. Now being a musician myself, he may not even be auto-tuned. Some combinations of delay, compressor, chorus, heavy reverb, etc. can give off sounds that would be parallel to auto-tune's vibrato. In other words, Tom's other voice effects may be giving him that particular sound, so shut up.

@theyak5 To be honest, i don't think it's about the money for Tom, i don't think it's ever been about the money. Tom genuinely loves what he does and spreads a positive message with what he does and changes lives. That's why haters don't matter. and that's what most of you will never do in your life.
