Cool Down man. I ve been a fan of Joan Jett for more than 25 years, since the Up your Alley Album which was released  back on 1988. I am not " spinjing any lies", take the time to read my posts concerning this subject, since this was not the only one , there are some in an interesting conversation. What I tried to say is that Joans colaboration with the FF, plus the movie have revived Joan for a new generation of Fans. Got it?

go to wikipedia and imdb and look up Joan Jett...If you say that JJ is suddenly known because of a recent song with FF's and a movie that came out in 2010 you are completely wrong. Read it.

JJ's career and huge fan base started way before this gig with FF's and the Runaways movie is based on her time with that short lived successful group of the same name (in which she was a founder) about 8-10 years before JJ & The Blackhearts hit it huge in the '80's.

This is AWESOME! Two of my heroes from different generations of rock together! I got so sentimental (well, I often do) that tears are falling... I've been a faithful follower of Joan since the beginning of the Runaways, and a fan of Dave since the Nirvanas Nevermind album... And 'cause I'm old (50 years in a couple of days) and live far away in Finland, I hadn't heard anything about them playing together...

For me its new so we digress. Still what I tried to point out on my comments is that Joan has had a revival on her carrer thanks to her appearences with the Foo Fighters. Her last record which was a hit was Up The Alley, back on 1988, which I found Old. The Foo Fighters have provided solid hits for the las 15 years or so. Be well.
