  • please can anyone direct me to a video that explains how to set up your telescope so that its balanced etc, im complete beginner, i watched one video of them putting it together, but there was no sound telling me what he was doing when balancing it, all the argon is gobbildy gook to me, if i new how to set it up properly, i might be in with a chance of seeing something. also there was no explanation on how to use motor, i have the 130eq.md thanks in advance to any who can help

  • what camera did you use?picture looks clear and sharp.

  • What filter would I need to use to see M33 with this and what does an exposure shot mean.

  • Can I use " celestron Omni 2x barlow 1.25" lens, and celestron omni series 1.25 " (6mm) eyepiece lens" for my astro master 130 eq. is someone who can help pleas? Who is the best chois for view planets

  • @haggy38 very very very nice image. thanks for putting this up here.

  • i'm not sure. because a french guy tested primary mirroir of skywatcher.

it's a shit too. the spherical aberrration is huge. i'm not sure if it was the "P" model , but for sure, you can bet . the guy tested it with a green laser.

the result is a "no go". lambda/3 RMS. maybe 1 lambda on the wave front. (PV)

    so a no go.

prefer a telescope with a control report . you can buy some for 500 550$. not less.

  • the best thing to buy , for beginner , low cost stuff, is skywatcher 130/650P. P for "parabolic". Even worst , on several website, i already saw celestron astromaster 130/650 described as a parabolic newtoonnian. wich is not .

if you can't be sure before buy , just buy a 130/900 . the focal make spherical abberation less important. 6.9 ratio focal is correct even with spherical mirror: it doesn't destroy fine detail at biggest magnification.

  • mas corto q un estornudo

  • great vid, what kind of eyepiece are you using?

  • I believe it is an usual parabolic mirror. Just google it.
