@vunivesi, Also, Utah's win over Bama' in the 09' Sugar Bowl was worth a lot more than any of the opponents that byu played in their entire bowl history! In addition to that, (over this previous decade), Utah's 2 top 5 finishes, busting the BCS twice, and going 8-0 in bowls gets priority over byu's top 25 finishes because byu didn't finish in the TOP FIVE or go UNDEFEATED over this last decade like Utah did. Undefeated seasons also get priority over lower top 10 or top 25 finishes.

Bowl games over this last decade: Utah- beat USC in 01', beat Southern Mississippi in 03', beat Pitt in the 04' season, beat Georgia Tech in 05', beat Tulsa in 06', beat Navy in 07', beat Bama' in the 08' season, and beat Cal in 09'. BYU- lost to Hawaii in 01', lost to Cal in 05', beat mediocre Oregon in 06', barely beat mediocre UCLA in 07', lost to mediocre Arizona in 08', and beat a pretty good Oregon State team in 09'. It looks to me like byu's bowl opponents weren't any better than Utah's

@vunivesi, Oklahoma's 2009 team didn't even finish the season ranked in the top 25.......It's the final rankings that matter......byu's win over OU wasn't worth that much because OU didn't end up being that great of a team. And byu's bowl opponents were not any better than Utah's bowl opponents. Also, Utah's win over alabama is bigger than byu's win over OU. The difference is that 08' Bama' finished in the top 5 and 09' OU didn't even finish ranked in the top 25.

Haha look at Utah now... Kinda makes all the comments below just look dumb. I can't decide what's a worse loss TCU at rice or ND... I know BYU lost to the Aggies but it's a compleat rebuilding year and we've totally turned it around outscoring in the last three games 144 to 27. You guys just choked.
