  • Isn't this Annette Focks?

  • @awej as far as i know Annette Focks has written the original soundtrack for the movie and in this specific song the performer is Kae Shirati.

  • I really love it. It's begin by a very known romantic track (concerto n° 1 de Grieg ???)...and... A thing different and astonish. Very expressive pianist, with sometimes a certain sense of humour, i believe. I don't know Kae Shirati. Thank for this discovering.

  • @patrickhellin you are absolutely right. this is the concerto. i think of her as a very gifted musician, although she is so little known..

i suggest you must see the film "vier minuten", where the track is taken from. it is such a strong movie both optically and musically. thanks for your time!

  • Thx very much. I have just seen an little part of "Vier minuten". It seems to be a great movie. I didn't know at all. A great moment, the moment where we discover something new, and something excellent.

  • i often tend to confuse Grieg's piano concerto in a minor with Schumann's piano concerto op.54 a minor.

i guess Kae Shirati did an extraordinary cover on Schumann's concerto!!

  • I'm french, and I saw "Vier minuten" 3 years ago... I looooved the original soundtrack, and especially this music... It is a great moment, where we feel freedom, revolution, maybe angry...

  • I just cant have enough of this.. I wished there would be more songs like this

  • To everybody: Annette Focks actually composed this song, Kae Shirati is only the performer!

  • I'm Welsh, and I saw this a while ago. I still remember this performance from the film - As if it had been a real spontaneous act that I'd been in the audience watching!

It's a great movie, and a great advert for traditional, and also innovative, piano music.

  • Don't tell me that from 1:00 is improvisation... If not: Can someone tell me what it exactly is??
