Carrie Underwood obviously sings this song better. It is in her range. She is wild. Perfect live. Kelly Clarkson sang it well, but different. She had to change it to fit her voice. I don't think there should be a comparison because this is Carrie's song :) I love them both. Completely different artists.

@bcamporine Please specify how Kelly took this song to another level: is it UP or DOWN! Kelly did not do this song justice, at all. And, What smiles are you talking about? Don't you know that Carrie garnered three awards in this show besting all female singers in all genres and all artists in films, TV, and music? Kelly has never achieved those recognition even just in her chosen genre of music. Carrie won the Grammy's best new artist; Kelly did not! Are you referring to a "mediocre level?"
