I fucking adore this game. I live in London, and all the elements of HL2 are in this city - dirty, stagnant water canals, railways with anonymous trains hurtling through the night, half finished skyscrapers, train stations with invisible voices barking orders. I'm always half expecting Alyx to show up by my side.

Phone dell and ask if there are any offers on quad core rigs,that's what I did.I got mine for 800 euro,has a decent card (RadeonHD4670 512mb)and 4gb ddr3 memory.also a half terrabyte of storage space. and a dvd rewriter.
Decent monitor too.Dell xps430,probably cheaper now,that was 6 months ago.Or you could scour the buy and sell,decent rigs there for under 400 euro sometimes.Good Luck!

@MrAdriano Yes, you can download the new Cinematic Mod 10 Light Edition. That edition contains no HD-models, or soundtrack changes.
