  • The first song, as a preteen that I HAD to buy. It took me a few years. Can remember that they played this as the last song at the local teen dances I'd attend every weekend. I'd rush around to try and find a girl to hold and dance with. LOVE this.

Although, I always thought the last note sung by the Innocents was askew. Sounds off. Perhaps it was the mixer.

  • An endless classic, that only shows how great the music of this era was and still is.Kathy still sings this song that way, even now

  • this was relaesed in 1960

  • @m1kewithaone I think its just a jealous response from other artists or maybe coined by some DJ.. I do agree it downplays the accomplishments.. more so in Kathy youngs case

  • somebody here says, " just another one hit wonder". can somebody explain to me what that means? "just" another one hit wonder... i don't understand. it sounds like they mean that having one hit, is not an accomplishment at all. i just want to know if this makes any sense to anyone else here.

  • @m1kewithaone she is? Just another one hit wonder.

  • watch her in the red dress, the pbs special.. she does this song at age 65, and .....she's just as good now, as she was then. truly amazing.

  • A true class by Miss Kathy Young released In November 1960? One month before yours truly was born I love this song to pieces!

  • Cut through like a razor sharp knife. Perfect, brilliant. A benchmark song and a living artifact.

  • Oldies Live Forever! Kathy Young is such a great artist!
