He might not hate reality TV but I sure do. A bunch of specially selected morons all put into a situation designed to cause them problems so that a different bunch of morons can be entertained by idiots who have been chosen because of their likely hood of flipping out in a way that is not even amusing or talented. Not only do I dislike reality TV but I dislike people who like it.

I have to agree with Billy on this, these programmes have no interest for me whatsoever. These shows are foisted on us by a media marketing machine which makes us believe that we want this, meanwhile it has the cheapest production costs. Just as the supermarkets have reduced the availability of a range of foods to meet their marketing strategy.

When anybody says they don't like reality TV, including Billy here, I think its specifically aimed at Big Brother. There are loads of reality shows that I think are great: The Apprentice, Secret Millionaire, Come Dine With Me, Kitchen Nightmares UK, Faking It.

These are all shows under the blanket of 'reality television' and IMO they're great.

Simply saying reality tv sucks is a cliche & a generalisation.

And there are far more people on Youtube that 'want to be famous' than TV now anyway.
