Onyxia DK solo 2-22-2009 HD

Trying to get this video to upload in a little higher quality. This is me soloing Onyxia on my DK for the second time. I did it first about a month ago.
Basically, there are 3 phases.
Phase 1, you put your back to the wall so you don't get knocked back and just pound her. You can use your anti-magic on her flame breaths if you want, but as you can see, you don't have to. You can just get those hitpoints back with a death strike.
Phase 2, she takes off. This is the stage that is very easy for a DK. Even though she is in the air, she is in melee range. Just watch your pet. If he moves, then move with him. Also, after she flies one way, then back to her original spot, LOTS of adds will spawn. Keep a close eye on your health here, and aoe them down.
Phase 3, she comes back down and just becomes annoying. She's not hitting hard enough to worry about, but she constantly fears. Luckily, the fears don't last long and you just smack her down.

do u get anything besides rallying cry of the dragonslayer when u personally turn it in? im like lvl 34 mage so i couldnt do it but im just wondering

Unfortunately you can't solo her anymore. Since 3.2.2 she has been converted to a level 80 10 and 25 man raid boss.

You should, it's fun. Just keep your diseases up and use deathstrike a lot to self-heal.

Icy Touch, Plague Touch, Blood StrikeX2, Scourge Strike continuous.

Keep unholy blight up, use up your rune power on your bolts. Obviously, death and decay along with unholy blight and pestilence will quickly destroy the adds. You shouldn't even have to target them. When she's in the air, look for her deep breath and use your magic shield.
