@1978elcabio put the equivalent transmission and engine ( size, and number of gears) in the Ford, Dodge and Chevrolet and see. when the engines are so tuned that only the block is stock it does not represent the make of the truck anymore, just like with monster-trucks, where the makes on the fiberglass bodies mean absolutely nothing.

@xplymouth2 the banks sidewinder (look it up) has a duramax and is the world's fastest diesel drag truck. and read diesel power magazine. duramax has one the king of the hill test (driving over Vail Pass in the rocky mountains with a 16,000 pound trailer) two years in a row.

@xplymouth2 uh no lol. actually the duramax will still win...ford will probably go into limp mode lol. nah but for real, the duramax is a much more durable design than the powerstroke, that is shown in the average cost of ownership. when it comes to racing, the duramax makes more power stock for stock and its in a lighter truck, so it will win every time
