"Hardest Button to Button" Acoustic Cover of White Stripes

"The Hardest Button to Button" from The White Stripes' album Elephant.

I love how "rock" and angry this song is, and I love just hammering it out in a sloppy rock way. You'll find this version full of muted notes, fret buzzing, and some A string slides up the fret board. In all, it's rock on the acoustic without much care for 'perfection.'

Intro:
A chords with E string riff (open-3-open).

Chords:
A-C-A-C-A-C-B-D (or Bb depending the place in the song). These can be strummed heavily or picked through (I kind of combine them by downstrumming and then picking up through them).

Please note:
I am NOT forgetting the words--Jack sings it this way live sometimes, and I kind of liked it enough to try it out in a verse or two.

Maybe. I put up a bulletin in three parts a while ago that detailed songs I plan on covering. I had a couple Rac songs on there, but every time I sit down to work on one, I get...bored. I don't know...probably a couple from their first album, if I do any (Steady, Together, maybe a simple version of Level). Have you heard their live version of "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)? Maybe I'll do that one...

SO BEAST! You did such an awesome job covering this song just by using an acoustic guitar, man. This was great. Honestly, your singing was more pleasurable than the original, but I didn't really like the fact that you cut out a few of the words, like when he says "I had opinions, that didn't matter, I had a brain that felt like pancake batter", you just said "I had opinions, didn't matter, had a brain, pancake batter", but no matter. This was astoundingly pleasurable to listen to!
