  • Rap thinks its all that with out the Dylan and the Hendrix and Clapton's....Rap like every other flash in the pan was doomed the day it arrived... music has to have substance and creativity of melody, musical theory... not snips and loops and GOD help us ... beats... I just cant dig you know... just do a jam type a thing... uh Johnny B. Good what the heck !!!!

  • What ever happened to Dwayne Allman and really creative jams that stretched the imaginations of 40 yrs and 4 generations... Rock n Roll will never die and Rap will always take a back seat because Dylan did the rebellion crap and Hendrix turned it into ART...

  • Ya I get what your saying about rap.... I do get it... but its not the same.... I just like less gangster and more humanity. The government and law enforcement is criminally insane and today's society follows right along and in insane. Its the INSANE Following the CRIMINALLY INSANE.....

  • @midi1529 Of course. A hip-hop artist would be extremely out of place in that sentence because of the vast difference in hip-hop music compared to those artists. I just wanted to point out that rapping actually take skills because people who don't know much about hip-hop seem to think rapping is just talking over a beat and rhyming words together when it is actually far more complicated than that.

  • @yokamoose Care to elaborate?

  • @dictator54 Yes I was born flat 60's I grew up Jimi - Clapton - Beck - Page - I am needless to say a pretty good guitar player...... I wonder-if that has anything to do with it!!!!

I feel so sad for the youth of today, they have nothing..... very sad

  • @milksteak74 I gotta say there's nothing wrong with McCoy Tyner - Kieth Jarrett - Jan Garbiack - and Mozart - Or Tull. But I can't name one hip hopper that belongs in this sentence, but Tull does. I am a guitar player.

  • Love Jethro Tull .... I heard Ian on my local radio station one day playing unplugged and it was AWESOME!! .. I wish I could find a clip of it.

  • rap is crap

  • @dictator54 There is nothing wrong with hip-hop. I probably love classic rock just as much as I love hip-hop. A lot of people don't fully understand the skill it takes to be a good rapper. Metaphors, word play, flow, rhyme schemes, voice, delivery, etc. are all huge parts of hip-hop. There is a lot of shitty hip-hop currently but the same could be said about any genre.
