The frame you're referring to is the size of a camera sensor. Your average hen's egg would more than fill that space. It has slightly less chance of filling a scanner bed!

@0kee That is not 1:1 magnification... If you have 1:1 magnification it would fill the picture with just the egg....

@Petsku333 Scanning is a photographic process and the magnification is 1:1. That makes it macro photography.
