Nice to see some real news on here. Yes, the government runs the drugs...only the naive believe otherwise. From the East India Tea company to Oliver North, George Bush and Bill Clinton. Besides the obvious money motive, there is also the benefits for the prison industrial complex and the erosuion of civil liberties which those in government crave.

I'd bet you haven't figured out that the price of drugs would fall if they were legalized? It would cut the organized criminals out of the loop & it would deprive the Taleban of their funds to buy more weapons!

Is this new to anyone? Has no one heard of Air America, or Iran-Contra? Does no one wonder why acid, a drug that cant possibly kill you, is so heavily controlled that only 6 people in the US are even allowed to conduct research on it, yet youre spending millions of dollars a day to protect Afghan death merchants? Oh thats right because you make acid by the bucket full so its not profitable and it isnt addictive. Funny how drug classing is inversly proportional to its physical addictiveness

All that fine opium turns into the superb heroin thanks to the chemicals supplied by the US companies operating in Afghanistan. Half of the heroin ends up on illegal markets across ex Soviet republic and other half is safely transported to terrorist country of Kosova where is cut and redistributed across the Europe and US.

Money makes the world go round, no doubt. Heroin too.
