Eikenkai is a kendo keikokai based in Osaka, Japan, that seeks to improve members kendo through intense training in basics.

Our core membership base consists of Japanese and non-Japanese nationals that live in Osaka and Kyoto, though we have members that live in Nagoya, and even further afield. Currently active members come from the U.K., America, France, Slovakia, and of-course Japan. Past members/visitors have come from a wide spectrum of countries: Turkey, Canada, Australia, Romania, Germany, Finland, Denmark, Spain, Korea, China, India, etc....

Members level spans from shodan up to nanadan, with varying levels of competition experience (including past and current World Championship competitors).

afaik, Eikenkai is the only non-Japanese led keikokai with a permanent location in the country.
