Video describing the new nuvi 1690 sat nav from Garmin. The video clearly explains the features and nuLink! real-time services accessible by the device.
This would be great, if you could do IM chat and send and recieve instant messages with it. I mean, you have the data service hardware in it, why not. Using the other features takes up more bandwidth than sending and recieving an occasional SMS when you need to
This is nice in the sense of the internet but I find the most annoying part of this is having to do all this stopped, and punching buttons which are hard to hit, instead of just TALKING and telling the address, etc
Seriously what is the point. Garmin, wake up. Your compnay and all gps providers is dead if you focus on devices. Android phones and the like are going to kill you dead unless you trim the fat from company and switch to making content that can somehow compete with the free google stuff. And before you say something generically weak about how robust your stuff is, u REALLY need to try an android phone. Then comment on specifically what that does and what you do.
freakin sucks, i just got it and u hav to wait like... 20minutes to wait for satellite signal and it is very unaccuarte. and some times when u turn it on, there is weird freaky scary voice. do not get it.
