@oberchobo yeah none taken, but bear in mind that it was in the late 70's to mid 80's. right when Jaws was made LOL

@MUJUNKY No offense against your dad, he just did what was common or what mayor person said was needed. But the authorities were fuckin paniced and dumb when it came to sharks.
-
@oberchobo yeah, i agree, but the majority of people instantly freak out when you say Shark near the ocean :(

@MUJUNKY OMFG then this "mayor person" is a dumbass fucktard... Nature regulates itself. As long as thre are sharks you have a wonderful and multifaceted wildlife. If you hunt down the sharks you will get a dead and rotten piece of exreef. No predators or too few means the reefeating and herbivorous fishs will tear apart the reef in a few years leaving only a dead sandbank behind.

my dad used to live in the bahama's. he told me how there were these small sharks that ate the tropical fish in the reef by his house and he and some of his friends would go and use these little harpoon things to spear the sharks because the mayor person wanted the sharks to be in a controllable number, and so the tourist could see the colorful fish
how far from the coast?
